Ellie on the Telly

At last its out. 60 seconds isn't very long, and lots of footage was cut - lots of scenes edited out etc. You are probably seeing about 1 five-hundreth of the footage that was shot over 5 days in Barcelona. Gawd only knows what it cost. But Luella had a fantastic time filming it, and is very proud.

1975

When I was a young lad, I spent a fair bit of my spare time hanging out with the local bikers, and in the early seventies, the most beautiful bike ever made turned up on the scene. We all wanted one, most of us had to settle for just seeing one. I actually had the great privilege of crashing on one whilst being a passenger.
Anyway, if I had anything of value, I would happily sell it to get my hands on this absolutely mint 900cc Kawasaki Z1b.

Paris

Ellie and I have just got back from a weekend in Paris, where we went to the very top of the Eiffel Tower. This isn't my picture, because I was too sensible to hang over the edge - not sure how he did it - anyway the point is that it is very very high. (but not as high as this !)
And it was bloody hot - 30 degrees. But the Eurostar was a good laugh, very quick and hassle free. Oh, and the French make good ice cream.

So we've all just got back from 10 days in Barcelona where Luella has been playing the starring role in a TV ad for EuroStar - a surprisingly big production with a crew of around 60 people, and locations all over and around Barcelona. For the zoo bit they even had stunt advisors, vets, nurses, animal trainers, all completely bonkers but brilliant fun. The director is Juan Cabral who is reckoned to be one of the top guys in the world at the moment ( remember this this and this), he reckoned Ellie is a natural so we are all very proud. Look out for the ad campaign starting somewhere around the 17th of July...

Drawers

We have been very busy doing up our bathroom. We now have a real shower, and a floor with tiles on it, which is all very nice. I am particularly proud of my drawers, which I have lined with some dark red rubber that I found outside someones workshop last summer. As you can see, I have arranged a mini Damian Hirst show in one of them. My favourite device is the pair of forceps which are good for pulling stubborn nose hairs, but I also like the the ultra-sonic nit comb, and foot cheese grater.
